Nativity scene figurine, Chestnutseller 14cm (5,5,in) 2 movements. Nativity set automated chestnut seller: the Neapolitan nativity scene is made of terracotta clay and has a double automation.
The chestnut seller is portrayed while doing his job, that is roasting chestnuts in a big pot, ready to be sold.
The nativity scene is entirely hand made in Naples, Italy, the capital city of the Christmas nativity scenes tradition.
The characters are in first place shaped from terracotta and afterwards dressed with tretaed cloth carefully shaped on the figurine.
The availability of tissues is limited and the artisanal processing of each piece makes each figurine different and therefore unique.
The small statues cannot be sold separately.
This automated scene has been made using a small electric motor working at 220 V power (no transformer is needed) and metal hand-shaped system of levers: all materials are characterized by high reliability and long duration.
