Nativity scene set. Figurines of the Neapolitan nativity set entirely hand-painted in terracotta representing the Three Wise Kings.
All figurines are hand-made and finished with special care for details.
The nativity scene represents the Three Wise Kings visiting Baby Jesus in the stable and bearing their gifts: gold which stood for richness and beauty, myrrh which foreshadowed Christ future events, frankincense as homage and in sign of adoration of the newly born Son of our Lord.
The nativity scene figurines are entirely made in Naples, Italy, the capital city of the Christmas nativity scenes tradition.
The characters are first made of clay and afterwards dressed with clothing carefully shaped on the figurine and treated.
The availability of tissues is limited and the artisanal processing of each piece make each figurine different and therefore unique.
The small statues can not be sold separately.
