Nativity scene set accessories. Hand-painted terracotta figurine of a farmer who is sitting for some rest after a day of work in the fields. The figurines are hand-made and -painted on an initial trunk dressed in terracotta leafs. They are then modeled into a real statue and hand-painted with acrylic colors for ceramic painting. Lastly the figurines undergo an ageing treatment. This line of nativity sets is produced in Deruta, Italy, a small town in Umbria famous for its artistic creation in terracotta and for the high materials and working processes quality standards. The clay is hand-worked and painted by local expert artisans. The craftsmanship and small retouching make each item a unique piece.
