Baptismal font in Byzantine style, chiseled copper, 43.3x17.7 inches. Baptismal font with multi-layer wood structure covered in copper plates, chiseled by hand in Byzantine style, treated with gold and silver galvanic bath, red and blue silver oxidation and finished with antioxidant plasma treatement.
On the sides of the structure are represented the Good Shepherd, John the Baptist, the 12 Apostles and the sacrificial lamb. On the lid, we find a representation of the cross with the four Evangelists.
Angle of gold plated brass and 8 feet to support the base. A small lateral door allows to access the inner utility core for the baptismal shell and other accessories.
The lid is made of gold and silver-plated copper with a gold plated knob, liftable and hangable on lateral gold plated wings. The lower basin is made of silver-plated copper and the upper one, with rings, is made of silver-plated copper too and can be removed.
The structure also has a lateral stand for the lid on the right side and lateral carrying handles.
Lined with white satin and golden passementerie.
This masterpiece is made and decorated by Pietro Vittorio Milani, also known as "Victor", a famous Piemontese artist.
