The technique
The Linea Aurea collection by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high quality artistic works created through the patented pictography technique, created by the master Stefano Lazzari. This method allows you to create reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is ''a fresco'' with gold leaf retouch, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which guarantees that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The painting
In the painting, the wedding of Mary and Joseph is depicted centre stage, with a priest joining their hands during the ceremony. On the left, according to the iconographic tradition, there is a group of women and on the right a group of men, including one who breaks a stick, symbol of the selection of the suitor.
The characters are arranged in a natural and varied way. This arrangement is made visible from the raised point of view which allows us to clearly observe their position on the floor slab, forming a semicircle that balances the convex architecture of the background. The use of colours is intense and detailed, with a range of shades that enhances the plasticity and warm atmosphere of the painting, marking Raphael one step further towards modernity.
Each copy comes with a certificate of origin inside the packaging, adding value to your purchase. A metal support and a hook on the back make the work versatile, suitable both as a wall-mounted or standing painting.
