Icon Menology of January

Icons. Russian Icon: 'Menology of January', dating back to the beginning of XVIII cent. and coming from orthodox Russian school of Yaroslavl.
These icons called 'menologion' (yearly), are tables whose compositional graphic style derives from miniatures first collections portraying the life of saints.
The icon is divided in four registers, each of whom portraying different scenes from liturgical life.
A few details:
in the first register Jesus presentation to the Temple,
in the second register Jesus Christening,
in the third the miraculous liberation of Saint Peter from Jail by the angel
Straight after Saint Anthony can be seen.
Below the doctors of the Church Saint Basil, Saint Chrysostomus, Saint Gregory of Nazianzus.
Each icon comes with a photograph and with a survey reported by experts from the Ministry of Russian culture, and export documents.
