The Saviour is surrounded by 12 subjects seeking Him in prayer. Among them, the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Baptist, both with their hands stretching out toward Jesus Christ. The whole scene is emphasized by its golden background and a netrual frame.
The icon, painted on a wooden board of 12.6x10.6 inches, dates from the late 19th century, from Russia. The technique is a traditional one: 100-years-old wood covered in levkas (plaster and glue of animal origin) and painted by hand with egg tempera.
The painting is delivered in a velvet case with satin lyning, accompanied by guarantee certificate, certificate of originality, expertise signed by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage of Russia and export document.
