It was therefore written in the Preobragenskaya church after reconstruction in 1685, but had an unclear fate. This is an icon which was glorified in 1688 after the intercession and miraculous healing of a sister of the Patriarch Loachim. It was therefore written in the Preobragenskaya church after reconstruction in 1685, but had an unclear fate. According to one version, the image was brought to St. Petersburg in 1711 while only a copy remains in Moscow, but the two icons (St. Petersburg and Moscow) are very different in their iconography. There are many variations of this icon influenced by several Catholic iconographic elements with a common characteristic. the image of the afflicted who turn their prayers towards the Mother of God.
