Saint Demetrius was a Christian martyr, but his history remains uncertain. According to traditional agiography, he was a deacon of Thessaloniki, where he was persecuted and martyred around 306 AD. Later accounts depict him as a Roman soldier, and that's why he became one of the most important Orthodox military saints, often paired with Saint George. He is often represented on a horse while killing a Moor.
Saint Natalia is a martyr who lived in Cordoba during the Umayyad Caliphate. She had two daughters with her husband Adrian, a Christian too, and she decided to conceal her faith to protect them, but, witnessing the abuses endured by John the martyr, she decided to become a martyr for Christ. She sent her daughters to a monastery and she entered the mosque without concealing her head, to be recognized as a Christian. She was then arrested with her husband and a monk in Jerusalem.
