Russian icon depicting the Trinity of Rublev 30x25 cm. Original Russian icon from the mid-20th century. Hand painted by the master iconographers of the Golden Ring of Moscow. The icon (the original preserved in Moscow) is by Andrej Rublev, the iconographer representing the Old Testament scene wants to give a visual representation of the Trinity through three angels sitting around a table and in the background the house of Abraham and a oak tree. Apparently the angels are identical and represent the unity of God in three people. However, the angels wear garments of different colors and this wants to symbolize that every Person of the Trinity is distinct: the Father is at the center, the Son at his right and the Holy Spirit at his left. The icon is sized 31,5x26 cm and is accompanied by a case and certificate of originality.
