Hand-painted Russian icon of the Virgin Umilenie, 14x10 cm. Faithful copy of one of the most famous original archetypes of the 16th century, this icon represents the Merciful Mother of God, Our Lady of Tenderness, painted on a linden wood plank with gold leaf background according to the Byzantine-Russian iconographic rules.
The whole icon has a wrinkling effect to create an antique finish.
Icon delivered in a linden wood box with guarantee certificate, icon history and hook to hang it on the back.
