Russian icon of Our Lady of the Sign with cherub and seraph 5.5x3.9 inches. Russian icon painted by hand on linden wood and gold leaf and inspired by other iconographic paintings of the 16th century.
The icon depicts the Theotokos during the Annunciation, with Jesus represented at the moment of his conception in the womb of his Mother, but with an old man face as he was at the same time a fully human infant and the eternal God.
