JOHN C.3/2/2024This is a very beautiful and spiritual depiction in wood of the Pieta (Mary and the dead Jesus). The facial expressions on both Mary and Jesus are so realistic and perfectly represent the agony of Jesus and the sorrow of his mother, Mary. The painting of the statue is perfect too. Compared to other depictions of Michaelangelo's famous statue, this one is unique in its composition. I highly recommend it. John Cahill
