Bronze statue of an angel spreading flowers, 18.1 in, for OUTDOOR. Bronze statue of an angel spreading flowers, made in Italy by a famous art foundry specialised in funeral statues.
The technique used to made this statue is that of lost-wax casting.
Lost-wax casting is a technique requiring a wax model with a refractory core covered with a ceramic mould and cooked inside a furnace. The leaking molten wax thus creates a gap that to be filled by the cast metal which, once solidified, will be worked and chiseled.
The upside of this process is the uniqueness and very high quality of the finished product, the highest obtainable by any casting process.
The statue can be placed both in interior and exterior settings, since it is coloured with weather-proof paints. Bronze, being a natural material, tends to darken as years go by (if exposed outdoors): this feature is what makes it beautiful, since the passing of time makes this product precious and unique.
