Statue of girl spreading flowers in bronze 110 cm for EXTERNAL USE.Fine object made by an artistic foundry specialised in bronze casting and renowned for its production of funerary objects. The technique used to make this funerary object is called lost wax casting.
This technique requires a wax model with a terracotta core, which is covered with a casing in foundry sand and molten inside a furnace, thereby creating a gap that will be filled by molten metal.
Once the bronze has cooled down, the sculpture is freed from the cast and the launders, cleaned and finished.
Only unique pieces are made using this technique, since the wax model and the clay shell are lost.
Since bronze is a live material, it tends to darken over the years (if exposed outdoors): this is a peculiar feature of bronze, which will make this product beautiful and unique as times goes by.
