Florian is a popular patron saint in Raviera and Austria, he is worshipped in case of drought, floods and fire. The relics of Saint Florian are in the Convent of Saint Florian in Austria.
Patinated finish of the statue: the finished sculpture is coated with a walnut colour patina.
This statue in maple wood is hand made by the Valgardena artisans, following the local artistic tradition.
