This sculpture is made by an Italian company of craftsmen who have been carving wood since 1892. Many people impassioned about art visit the Val Gardena area and the company.
The art and trade of wood carving is passed on from generation to generation.
This Holy Family composition is made out of maple up to 40cm of height and in lime wood from 60cm and bigger.

Giovanna D.3/23/2024Pregiata la statuetta di legno (quella da 15cm), ben lavorata e levigata. Unica cosa che non ho apprezzato: l'ascia/squadretta (non riesco a capire che strumento è perché non è rifinita) non attaccata alla statuetta, quindi si può facilmente perdere.

Attention cependant à l'équerre qui est sculptée à part et qui peut se perdre dans l'envoi . . .
