This sculpture is made by an Italian company of craftsmen who have been carving wood since 1892. Many people impassioned about art visit the Val Gardena area and the company.
The art and trade of wood carving is passed on from generation to generation.
This composition is made out of maple up to 40cm of height and in lime wood from 60cm and bigger.

DonnaMarie A.11/21/2023This statue is STUNNING. My 14 yr. old grandson very much liked it. It is so detailed. The wood is beautiful. I put a coat of oil-based polyurethane on it for indoor protection. The wood smells so good (you can still smell the wood even after the polyurethane). I made a small "Saint Sebastian, Martyr" sign and wood-glued it on the base. The 3 arrows are sturdy and do not feel like they'll break off. I wish I could upload a photo! Thank you, Holy Art for selling such a great product!
