Virgin Mary statue with baby and sceptre in patinated Valgardena wood 25cm, gothic style.
The original of this statue is kept in the Cologne Cathedral (Rhineland) and it dates back to 1310, sculpted by an anonymous artist.
Patinated finish of the statue: the finished sculpture is coated with a walnut colour patina.
This statue in maple wood is hand made by the Valgardena artisans, following the local artistic tradition.
This is a fine article of high quality.
