The Madonna of Montenero is one of the most venerated Marian images in Tuscany and is housed in the Sanctuary of Montenero, located on the hills of Livorno. According to tradition, a crippled shepherd found this sacred image and, carrying it to the mountain, received a miraculous healing. Since then, the sanctuary became a pilgrimage site, and the Madonna was proclaimed the Patroness of Tuscany.
This statue is produced by a historic Italian company, active since 1900, specialised in the creation of sacred statues. The master artisans from Lucca, experts in religious sculpture, hand-finish every detail, giving each piece a unique and authentic character.
